It's a wrap! En Pointe School of Ballet presented Alice in Wonderland last week. A wacky, surreal, comedic ballet that took them a bit over 5 months to pull together and share. It was a wonderfully crazy experience and we were so excited to photograph the dress rehearsals and performances. EPB chose to follow the cartoon variation of the tale incorporating a chief, walrus, baby clams, a turtle, lobster, some dancing birds, the Tweedles, a fish and toad, a conga line of ballerinas who changed into beautiful butterflies, some jealous flowers, and the Cheshire Cat. We laughed with the Queen of Hearts and her terrified guards and cried during the Pas de Deux between Alice and the Knave.
It was an adorably overwhelming production that the school of dancers and their crew of teachers should be very proud of sharing.
